Does anyone else think the Dark Knight was overrated?

I mean the script was pretty sloppy. Some parts like where the joker cuts the guy's face were sort of unnecessary and only added in to revolve around Ledger's performance (not that it wasn't good it's just he wasn't the main character). Harvery Dent was pretty bland and boring. Did we really need a mobster for every ethnic organized crime branch? A lot of the action sequences were contrived like where Dent kills the Mob Boss in the car (I don't think the odds would be high enough to ensure a kill by making the car go out of control) and how the hell did the Joker manage to get all those bombs in the hospital and boats without getting noticed. Also, when Batman catches Rachel when she's falling, it is totally ridiculous that he would survive the all, nomek survival suit or no nomek survival suit. A lot of the dialogue is a little on the nose. Like when the Joker meets with Harvey Dent in the hospital and describes himself as "an agent of chaos" he's explicitly explaining the concept of the joker as an evil being for evil's sake. Michael Caine's monologues and Jim Gordon's monologue at the end are similarly defective. Lastly, the part where Batman flips over the truck is such a ripoff of the Empire Strikes Back Hoth Battle. Update: I thought Heath was great it's just the movie relied to much on his performance. There's a reason he's called a supporting actor.

2. dude i agree with you like 85%. this was a very good film, but like everyone is having an orgasm over it, it wasnt AMAZING. exactly what you said w/ joker, also when hes in the holding cell and he eggs on that cop guy by saying that he killed his friends and watnot. soooo predictable that he was gonna try and fite him, and that joker would prevail and blow s**t up, and wen the joker tangled the helicopter, how did he know that it would pass on THAT street? harvey dents character was a bit boring, but i liked it. batmans voice? wtf?? i noe he has to disguise it, but think about this, he even disguised his voice wen he was talking to jim gordon, and morgan freeman even wen they know who he is
3. It should have been funny.....for family entertainment. I liked transformers WAY better.
4. There was a 6 month difference between Batman Begins and the Dark Knight. The joker planned and did everything in that time.
5. Are you ripping the late great Heath Ledger? That was one of the best movies I ever saw. Plus Ledger was the main villain and the cutting face parts were added to show how cruel and weird he was. And with the Joker and the bomb thing how do people get abducted, raped , and killed? By surprise. Plus the Joker was filthy rich. He could have blown up the whole city if he wanted to. In my opinion that movie was awesome and appreciate Heath Ledger's last performance. This was his best film. And look Batman retailers are advertising their mechandise on your question. How can you say this was a bad movie?
6. Uhhhh It was very good in my opinion exept: 1. harvey 2face.... They should've let him live, he had soo much backround from the cartoons, comics, and even the one with tommy lee jones. Aaron Eckwatever is a very good actor and did a good job portraying 2face's good side, and bad... but he shoud've lived. Also katie's fine ass should've came back to play rachel. Hottest rachel ever. The new rachel deserved to die lol. Joker's makeup could've been MORE bright while looking evil. heath did a GREAT JOB playing joker being kinda funny at times and learning the joker's Exact Laugh. in the cartoon joker seemed like a jackass and I couldnt imagine at the end of the First batman how they would make joker a dark-evil figure for adult audiences in the second flick, and they did a great job. It was hillarious how he walked off with the nurse outfit while he blew up the hospital. What I didnt understand tho, was why the joker used 2 DIFFERENT stories about his lip being cut, first by his father, then by himself. The joker was a crazy muthafu... he trully had NO rules and even killed tha Thuggins that offered 500 Grand for the Joker's Dead Body. Also, it was outrageous how the joker burned all the money!!!! taht was hella many! You gotta be outta your mind to do sum shyt like that.
