1995 Toyota Camry with very loud engine noise?
Hello! I have a 95 Camry with 196,000 miles on it. I was driving locally yesterday with my window down when suddenly I realized that my engine was extremely loud. It sounds like a race car, or a boat engine, and I'm not sure what it could be. I checked the oil and it was low, but when I filled it (2 quarts of oil) it was still loud. There have been no performance changes, the car still accelerates the same. Anyone have any ideas? I don't know much about cars so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

- Check your muffler and exhaust pipes for holes or breaks.
- http://givinginfo.vintagecomputers.at you can get much information in this website, kindly stay a minute in website and check anyone link at a time
- if you hear like a loud squeal, you better check your belts, one is about to break and you will go nowhere.
- It might be an exhaust leak near the engine. Camrys tend to have trouble with their exhaust between the engine (down pipe) and catalytic converter. When the exhaust opens up, it will sound very much like a loud humming or outboard boat engine. Depending on the situation, the exhaust hasn't completely come open yet, or you might have said that it's loud enough to draw police attention. See your local exhaust shop and get exhaust fixed soon, because it will get much louder if it breaks completely open. Good Luck
