How can i power a mini-boat for my practical project without using any machines?

e.g baking soda+vinger only i need something stronger that u would find in tesco or any groceries store . It has to be under 30cm squared. It can't be a bought in part and it has to float along my boat! HELP ME PLEASE oh and i have to hand my project in in 2 days!

1. Have you thought about simply inflating a balloon? Tape it to the boat and let the air out at the appropriate moment.
2. you can use rubber band to store energy and then figure out some way to turn a proppeller with it.. you could also use a candle to heat water in a small container within the boat to produce steam which is forced out the backk... if you dont want such a complicated method use the baloon with a straw attached to the opening...
