I have an older 36' Scarab boat, need to remove 200 gal aluminum fuel tank stuck in hard foam. Suggestions? We sawed around the tank to try to cut foam free but tank still will not budge. Should we use a chemical? If so, what kind?

what does the pitch of a prop mean? does it change your boats performance? I am currently running a 26 pitch cleaver on my 28ft scarab. It has a blown big block with a super chiller. the boat weights around 4,600 pounds. many people say i need another prop. what should i get to get the max performance out of my boat? the motor is making 750 hp

I took my boat out today and it said i was only doing 65. i own a 28 foot scarab. it has a big block, super chiller and a B&M 250 blower. All in all it is making at least 750hp. my friend brought out his tom tom to see how fast my boat would go. we were all guessing mid 80's. but then we were greatly let down by the 65 mark. I was wondering if the fact that this is meant for cars could be the problem. Does anyone have any info? Ive been into powerboating and dragboats for about 37 years. Im not one to over exagerate like most do at the local lake and rivers. My scarab is 28 ft and weights 4300 lbs. It has a 502 with a superchiller and blower making 750+ hp. the conditions were some what rough. i was airing it out. the big factor and i dont know how much it weights in but it was 110 degrees out and the water was really warm. My biggest disapointmen is that i read write ups in hot boat and powerboating magazine that show the exact same size boat with a even weaker motor that is running in the mid 80's. and believe me ive had flat bottoms and top alcohol hydros that ran 7's @ 156 mph in the quearter so i have a prety good grasp on speed. The only thing that i can think is either the TOM TOM is not very acurate when in rough water on a boat because its not ment for marine. or the conditions were killing my boat.

2008 Toyota Tundra vs. Ford F-350 King Ranch? Trying to figure out which one will pull my boat the best. I just bought a 38' kv scarab and am trying to purchase a truck to go and get it with. I like the ford better but was wondering for other peoples opinions as well.

This ship will take us to Japan in 1 week and a half; with out stuck. We sail immediately, in the ship I think it was the begging of a long trip. When we go down the boat and saw Tokyo we were impressed it was a city full of tall buildings it was really small compared with Los Angeles. He wants us to go around the city before we take the airplane to china. We start going around and we see the Japanese know a lot of technology. There are a lot of people over 12millions in this little town. Late we take the metro and go to Kita one of the most important neighborhoods in Tokyo. There we eat the typical food while we speck with Japanese that speak English like us. He told us that there was an International Film Festival the next day in Shibuya other neighborhood of Tokyo. When we finish we took a bus to Shibuya; we search for hours but we don’t find it we were so disappointed, we decide to fly away from Tokyo to china that night. We don’t want to see more oriental people so we only change of airplane there. Now we were in El Cairo Egypt with one of the hottest temperature I ever feel. We rent a camel and go to the pyramids and go inside of the biggest one, it make me feels strange like a mystic force there we saw a scarab of the size of my hand and I record it Ben was so proud because it was a really strange event. When we go out of the pyramids we ask a man if he can film us in the entrance of the pyramid. Instead he start running he try to steal our camera we run as fast as we can but he run faster but we were very thirsty. The sand doesn’t let us run faster. Seconds later something unexpected happen the robber start screaming of pain he say a scorpion bite him. We catch him and took the camera and we also saw the scorpion we start shouting for help until an Egyptian see us and he ask for help with a Mobil. Another hard day for us and all was recorded. The next day in the morning we take an air plane to Portugal but there was a problem with the airport, so we land in Spain and go from there to New York. When we were landing we saw the statue of liberty, the empire state and the streets full of traffic and make us feel in our country after all. When we land we took a car and drive true all USA it take us 4 days going in the speedways. Once there I and Ben speak of our adventure and the film we edited and make a TV series. What type of hull is better for rough water, stepped or straight V? I am beginning on a long journey of buying a 20-30' speed/ski boat that will see some occasional rough salt water bay usage (2-3’ chop). I do not something that will do 90 MPH over those conditions but something that can at least stay up on plain at a decent speed while not beating my family and I to death. One dealer told me that stepped hulls ride so much better over water while another dealer said that your kids will hate you if you buy a stepped hull. Which one is telling the truth? I’m looking at brands like Baja, Scarab, Checkmate, or Formula.
